MAXXI’s Collection of Art and Architecture represents the founding element of the museum and defines its identity. Since October 2015, it has been on display with different arrangements of works.

The Prize is a project promoted and realised in collaboration between MAXXI and Triennale Milano.
Following both institutions’ constant commitment to enhancing Italy’s architectural quality, the Prize—held every other year at the two venues—also includes an exhibition dedicated to the award-winning projects.
There are three prizes awarded: the best intervention realised by Italian architects or architects active in Italy in the previous three years, the best young designer (awarded in alternate years to the winner of MAXXI’s NXT programme and Triennale Milano’s Claudio De Albertis TYoung Prize), and a career achievement award.
