A story of images and words, memories and testimonies of those who came into contact with the great photographer’s work.
From Francesco Vezzoli to Antonio Biasiucci, from Marino Niola to Stefano Boeri, from Lucia and Laura Trisorio to Lia Rumma, up to Angela Jodice, who shared a life with him and who first saw and supported his potential as an artist.
Martone follows Jodice in his studio, where memories crowd in the extraordinary images in the archive, decades of work and research that come alive in his words and the slow, precise movements of his hands. The first photographs, the experiments of the 1960s and then the 1970s, the political and social works, the nudes, the passion for architecture and classical antiquities, his losing himself looking at nature, the sea, waiting for a light to let visions emerge that go beyond reality.
