In prison-speak, a “domandina” is the request made to meet your lawyer, make a phone call, have a meeting or ask to see the educator. It is by following up these requests that the film, a revelatory exploration of prison as a complex society made up of prisoners and staff, detention, observation and control, enters into the person stories and the prison of bureaucracy.
