A series of events devoted to the culture of the Land of the Rising Sun through the history of the Japanese garden in its various poetic stylistic forms and the ancient Japanese art of Ikebana.
Ikenobo is the oldest school of Senko Ikenobo, founded by the monk Senko Ikenobo of the Buddhist Rokkakudo temple in 1462. It originated from the floral arrangements composed by the Buddhist monks as offerings and represents the search for and the ability to exalt the true beauty and nature of each flower, leaf and branch. The term Ikebana, literally “floral arrangement”, lies in fact at the heart of the ancient practice of arranging flowers in a vase.
